Catherine Stonfer Lynn of the Belle Vernon Apartments;Belle Vernon;died Monday;April 22;1985;at 7:50 a.m.in Jefferson Medical Center Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 74. Born Sept.27;1910;in Washington Township;Fayette County;she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rodish. She was preceded in death by her first husband;John R.Stonfer in 1938 and her second husband;Hamilton Lynn on Jan.11;1973. Surviving are three sons;Don Stonfer of Fairhope (Belle Vernon);John Stonfer of Cleveland;Ohio;and Dennis Lynn of Belle Vernon R.D.1;seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister;Mary Smider of Ft.Lauderdale;Fla. Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday;the time of services at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;with Rev.Mary Howard;pastor of the Marion United Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
