Catherine E. Riskey Hotchkiss of 307 Sixth St., Monessen, died Sunday,Jan.15,1978 at 2:45 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She was 64. Mrs. Hotchkiss was born Dec. 22, 1913 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Joseph and Isabella Atken Riskey. She had been a Monessen resident for the past 45 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Monessen, its Women's Society, and the Elizabeth Thoburn Sunday School Class of the church. Mrs. Hotchkiss was treasurer of the Monessen Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge 2399, and was a member of the Monessen Democratic Women's Club. Survivors include her widower, C Leonard (Red) Hotchkiss: two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Anita ) Dzatko and Mrs. Marko (Rebecca) Povich, both of Monessen, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew in Charleroi. Mrs. Hotchkiss was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Riskey on April 4, 1968 and a sister, Margaret E Magruda on Aug. 15, 1972. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Howard E. Kennedy,pastor of the First United Methodist Chruch,Monessen, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Monessen Ambulance Service. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
