Catherine E Horvath, 82, a formcr resident of North Charleroi, died Wednesday,May 26,1982, at 12:07 a.m. m Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. Born Dec. 28, 1899, in Hazelwood, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence Bissell Murphy. Mrs. Horvath was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Charleroi, and a former member of the North Charleroi Home and Hospital Club. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Horvath; one son, Louis of Fallowfield Twp.; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Melenyzer of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Dennis (Virginia) Carney of Pittsburgh and Mrs. John (Pat) Mullen of North Charleroi; a brother, James Murphy of Sutersvllle; one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Scully of McKcesport; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc., 226 Fallowfleld Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m.from the funeral home with the Rev.Francis M.Blair of the United Presbyterian Church of Charleroi officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
