Catherine E. Baron; 82; died Thursday; June 5; 2003; at Cypress Acres Convalescent Hospital; Paradise; Calif. Born Nov. 25; 1920; in Van Voorhis; Pa.; she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Klanduch Bartek. She and her husband; the late Andrew Baron; moved to California in 1974. Catherine was Protestant by faith and had always loved singing the hymns and choruses of the faith. Other interests included a life-long love of animals; embroidery; canning and selling Avon. She was a short order cook at the former JIB Restaurant in Charleroi. Surviving her is one sister; Eleanor Bartek of Seattle; Wash. Also left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Bette Baron Marino and husband Anthony of Magalia; Calif.; two granddaughters; Carrie Ank and husband Tom and Lia Kieckhafer and husband Jim; and great-grandchildren; Madeline and Abigail Ank and Alexis and Will Kieckhafer. Aunt Catherine will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Dolores and Michael Roskovich; Thomas and Judy Buchanan; Judy and Dennis Johnson; Allan and Corie Tylka; Terry and Pat Tylka; Nancy and James Poole; and John and Marilyn Radich and their families. In addition to her parents and beloved husband; family members who have gone on before her were her sisters; Margaret Radich; Mary Buchanan and Anna Tylka. Services will be held Friday; June 13; at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Belle Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Spear; pastor of Char-Belle Free Methodist Church; officiating. The LEONARD J.
