A former St. Petersburg,Fla. resident, Mrs. Catherine O'Neil Ashton,81,of Allenport,died Monday, Oct. 20,1969 at 3 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Ashton,who was born in Pennsylvania,was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of St. Petersburg. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sarah Hancock of Allenport. Friends are being received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. Service there Wednesday,Oct. 22,at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred G. Greene,pastor of Fayette City's United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory is the funeral director.
