Carrie Walker of 925 Hill St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Feb. 26,1984,at 3:21 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township.She was 92. Mrs. Walker was born Oct. 10,1892,in Brighton,Ala.,a daughter of the late David and Sally Ware. She had been a resident of Belle Vernon for over 50 years. A Baptist by faith,Mrs. Walker was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Belle Vernon. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Christella Butler,and a son-in-law,Benjamin Butler,with whom she made her home; a sister-in-law, Maggie Ware,of Bessemer,Ala.;seven grandchildren;six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,nephews and other relatives. Friends will be received at the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.Friends will also be received at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.,at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. Luther Wormack,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trudy Taylor Clanagan, funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
