Carolyn Coletta Sands;71;Fairhope;died Saturday;Feb.27;1993;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born May 20;1921;in Viticuso;Italy;a daughter of the late Jerardo and Maddilina Coletta. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;Legion of Mary;Third Order of St.Francis and Valley of Hope Prayer Club. Survivors include one son;David of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Homer (Barbara) Zucconi of Belle Vernon;two brothers;John and Robert Coletta of Memphis;Tenn.;and two grandchildren;Jennifer and Leslie Zucconi. She was preceded in death by her husband;Oscar Sands in 1967;and one sister;Anna Marie Turner. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesdy until 9:30 a.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
