Obituary

A former Belle Vernon woman died Wednesday,Dec.8,1976, as the result of an automobile accident a short distance from her home in Shock, W. Va. Carol Ann Urbanic, 27, of Route 1, Shock, was driving home from the Gilmore County Medical Center at Glenville, W. Va., where she was employed as office supervisor, at 8:30 p.m. when her vehicle skidded on the ice and went into a ravine. Mrs. Urbanic was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 11, 1948 and was raised in Belle Vernon. She was graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School in 1966. She had attended California State College and was graduated from the University of Vermont as a psychology and theology major. She lived in West Virginia the past four years, moving there from Burlington, Vt. Surviving are her husband, Timothy L. Urbanic, two sons, Christopher and Elijah, both at home, her mother, Mrs. Sue Mazzei Touche of Belle Vernon, her father, Alex Touche of Florida,one brother,Francis J.Touche of Baltimore,Md.,and her maternal grandmother,Mrs.Mary Mazzei of Belle Vernon R.D.1. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday,Dec.11 and Sunday,Dec.12. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Monday,Dec.13,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
