Carmine Pastella of 20 Center Drive, Monessen,died Tuesday, March 15,1983,at 2:09 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Mr. Pastella was born March 4,1908,in Columbus, Ohio,and had been a Monessen resident most of his life. He was employed as an electrician at the coke plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.Monessen Plant until his retirement in 1970. Mr. Pastella had operated a private electrician service in Monessen for several years and was an amateur radio operator. He was a member of St. Cajetan Catholic Church,Monessen. Survivors include his widow, Susan Dimperio Pastella;five sons,Robert A,. of Apple Valley,Calif.,Carmine A. of Emporium,Ohio,Donald R. of Yorktown,Va.,Glenn D. of Stow,Ohio,and Richard S. of Monessen;eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. P.Lino Ramellini,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
