Carl M. (Cutty) Duda;68;of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Thursday;May 17;1990;at 2:12 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Nov.24;1921;in Arnold City;a son of the late Peter and Mary Kosiba Duda. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City. He was a member of the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club;the VFW Post #3557;Fairhope;the Polish Club of Arnold City;Mon Valley Dartball League and the Golden Ale Bowling League. He was discharged from the U.S.Army on May 31;1947;having served with the medical detactment of the First Infantry Regiment during World War II. He was retired in 1980 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.with over 33 years of service in the Blooming Mill of the Monessen Plant. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by one son;Carl W.Duda;in 1977. Survivors include his wife;Jennie Park Duda;one son;Edward Duda of Fairhope;one daughter;Mrs.Thomas (Mary Lou) Price of Roscoe;seven grandchildren;three brothers;Frank Duda of Monessen;George Duda of Fairhope and Edmund (Rex) Duda of Lynnwood;Belle Vernon;and one sister;Mrs.Julia Howski of Fairhope. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Sunday all day and Monday until 9:30 a.m.;when a Prayer service will be held in the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;with Rev.Thomas G.Rinn;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Church wake service will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangemnts.
