Carl Clegg; 80; of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord Wednesday; May 8; 2013. A son of the late Hobart and Nina Cruthers Clegg; he was born July 14; 1932. Carl served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 as a Private 1st Class for the U.S. Army; 808 Engineers. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; worked as an environmental aide at Monongahela Valley Hospital until he retired in 1997; and was a member of the First Christian Church. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three brothers; Malcolm; Buddy and Hobart Jr.; and his sister; Mildred Kostella. He is survived by his wife of 57 years; Clara Stricek Clegg; a daughter; Jennifer Clegg and her fiance; Justin Wilkinson; of Belle Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Jillian Clegg of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren; Jaelynn; Tyler; Noah; Luke and Aiden Clegg; several nieces and nephews; and his furry friend; Rowdy.
