Obituary

Carl A.Dunlop of Fairhope,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,May 18,1986,at 11:59 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp.,after a lengthy illness. He was 81. Mr.Dunlop was born Jan.29,1905,in Pittsburgh,a son of the late Archibald and Bertha Munch Dunlop. He was a retired employee of the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad's Newell Yards. Mr.Dunlop was a protestant by faith. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Clara M.Dunlop,on March 3,1985,and by one brother,William Dunlop. Surviving are three sons,Carl D.,Howard T.and John A.Dunlop,all of Belle Vernon,five daughters,Mrs.Michael (Betty) Skurla,at home,Mrs.George (Helen) Bronson and Mrs.Evelyn Sethman,both of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Jack (Ruth) Kott of Los Angeles,Calif.,and Mrs.Gerald (Linda) Chovan of Utica,N.Y.,22 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren,one sister,Mrs.Helen Paul,of Hickory,N.C.,and two stepsisters,Edna Shredle and Myrtle Eshaw,both of Monroeville. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and until 11 a.m.Wednesday,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev.Mary Howard,pastor,Marion United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
