Obituary

Carey L.Harris of 315 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Feb.3,1983,at 9:15 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 55. Mr.Harris was born March 13,1927,in East Pike Run Twp.,Washington County,a son of the late Virginus and Isaphene Harris. He was Protestant by faith. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II,Mr.Harris had been employed as a sation engineer for Gimbels of Pittsburgh. Survivors include his widow, Marion (Bunny ) Spiker Harris, three daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Margaret) Mascara of Charleroi, Mrs. Richard (Glady) LaGamba of Pittsburgh and Andrea Harris at home, one grandson, Richard LaGamba Jr. of Pittsburgh, one brother, Joseph Harris of Florida, and six sisters, Sue Presock of Ft. Loudon, Pa., Flora Walker of the state of Indiana, Claire Claypool of Pittsburgh, Kaye Milan of Cleveland, Ohio, Virginia Conn of the state of Indiana and Donna DeJulius of Cleveland,Ohio. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday until 2 p.m.,at which time services will be held with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
