Calvin L.Shaffer;39;of 703 Henry St.Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;April 26;1966;at 1:24 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. For 22 years Mr.Shaffer was a bricklayer for the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of st.Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church and American Legion Post 659;both of Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the United States Navy. Surviving are his widow;Mary (Savarino) Shaffer;three daughters;Ms.Robert (Beverly) Brashear of Belle Vernon;Linda and Liza at home;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Vearl L.Shaffer of Belle Vernon;a brother;Robert L.of Levittown. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Blessing service there at 9:30 a.m. Friday;April 29;followed at 10 a.m. by Requiem Mass at St.Sebastian’s R.C.Church;Belle Vernon.
