Caesar Barney,207 Orchard Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,Nov. 22,1986,at 2:22 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 83. Mr. Barney was born in Belle Vernon on June 8,1903,a son of the late Joseph and Angela Flori Barney. He was a resident of Belle Vernon his entire life and was a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,MARS,and Fairhope Rod & Gun Club. He retired from U.S. Steel Irwin Works,where he worked in the finishing department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Shukis Barney in July,1968. Survivors include a son, Joseph F. of Belle Vernon,with whom he made his home; two brothers, Virgil of Cleveland,Ohio and Daniel of Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Yola) Carcelli of San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. Josephine Green of Sun City,Ariz. and two grandchildren,George Bartley of Weirton,W.Va. and Robert Grounds of Donora. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Earl M. Lehman,pastor of First Baptist Church,Monessen, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
