Obituary

Bruno Edward Kenzler,83,of 414 Market street,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,October 18,1956,at 1:55 p.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,following a lingering illness. Mr.Kenzler was born August 3,1873,at Large,Pa.,the son of Karl and Rachel Kramer Kenzler. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past thirty-nine years,coming here from Oakdale. He previously had resided in Vesta and Dunlevy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,where years ago,before his failing health,he served on the official board,and was Sunday School superintendent. He was a retired employee of the Allenport Plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Company. He was also a member of Charleroi Lodge 1030,I.O.O.F.,and the Caligreen Encampment. Preceded in death over four years ago on September 27,1952,by his wife,Jessie D.Kenzler,he is survived by two daughters,Mrs.George W.(LaVene) Hoffman of Belle Vernon,with whom he made his home,Mrs.Harry E.(Bernice) Spencer of Fisher Heights,and one granddaughter,Miss Faith Hoffman. Friends will be received by the family during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.,at the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad avenue,Belle Vernon. Services will be held there Monday,October 22,1956,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.P.E.Mundy,pastor of the Beil Avenue Baptist Church of Altoona,formerly of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
