Blanche G.Popp of 120 Marion Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Oct.4;1985;in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 76. Mrs.Popp was born Jan.21;1909;in Pittsburgh;a daughter of the late Charles and Martha Jenkins Barnes. She was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church in Fairhope. A resident of Fairhope since 1960;Mrs.Popp had previously lived in Belle Vernon Borough. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband;Harry G.Popp;on Dec.30;1984. Survivors include a son;Harry Popp Jr. of Elizabeth Township;four brothers;John Barnes of Perryopolis;Lee Barnes of Fayette City;Charles Barnes of West Newton and Earl Barnes of Star Junction; sisters;Helen Russell of Fayette City;Dorothy Thurston;Peggy Hall of Belle Vernon and another sister from Fayette City;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Monday;Oct.7 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.Mary Howard;pastor of the Marion Presbyterian Church of Fairhope;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
