Obituary

Blanche Carini Yencsik,80, formerly of Speer Street, Belle Vernon,died Saturday,Aug. 8,1998,at 4:15 a.m. in Haven Crest Nursing Center, Carroll Township. Born Nov.12,1917,in Belle Vernon,she was the daughter of the late Peter C. and Inez Lupori Carini.  A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,Mrs. Yencsik was a membr of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She served as church organist from 1956 to 1994 and was coordinator of the CCD program for 20 years. In addition, she was a member of the church's Legion of Mary and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522.  She was one of the founders and a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and was also a member of and past president of the Annita Garibaldi Society, Belle Vernon.  A U. S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II,she was a reserve sergeant and a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Micahel E. Yencsik,also a resident of Haven Crest. A Prayer service was held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon,with the Rev. John R. Cindric,V.F.,pastor,and the Rev. William Feeney, pastor of Transfiguration Parish, Monongahela,as co-celebrants.  Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Legion of Mary of St. Sebastian Church recited the Rosary in the funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m.,followed by services by the Annita Garidbaldi Society at 3:30 p.m.   Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 conducted services in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by services at 7:30 p.m. by Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026.  Arrangements were handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, Belle Vernon.
