Obituary

Betty T.Carson died Saturday,February 1,1975,at her residence,7630 South Cornell,Chicago,Ill.,after a brief illness. A former resident of Browsville,she was 46. She was born Oct.3,1928,in Brownsville. Mrs.Carson was a member of Prince Hall Affiliation of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband,James Carson,two sons,Dwayne Holbrook and James Carson,both of Chicago,Ill.,one daughter,Mrs.Linda Williams of Chicago,Ill.,her father,Londrue Thompson of Grindstone,three brothers,Floyd Thompson of Clairton,Curtis Thomspson of Steubenville,Ohio and Donald Thompson of Grindstone,five sisters,Mildred Skelton of Chicago,Ill.,Lois Johnson and Dorothy Beasley,both of Buffalo,N.Y.,Darlene Thompson of Albuquerque,N.M.and Diane Grooms of Kansas City,Mo.,and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Pleasant Green AME Church,Pricedale,from 2 to 9 p.m.Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m.at the church with the Rev.Bertha Sydnor,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor of Monessen is funeral director in charge.
