Funeral services were held Tuesday for Betty Kunsa; 89; of Monessen; who passed away Sunday; Jan. 18; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Sunday; May 18; 1919; in Naomi (Fayette County). She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Charleroi; an avid bowler; and she enjoyed horse racing. Surviving is her husband; George Kunsa; two sons; Richard Kunsa and wife Claire; of Jefferson Hills; and Daniel Kunsa and wife Karen; of Havertown; Pa.; grandchildren; Jason and Tyler Kunsa; Jeffrey Nelson and wife Holly; Ryan Nelson; Rodlyn Checcio and husband Jeff; Shannon McCullough and husband Craig; and Ashley Coffield and husband Bradley; great-grandchildren; Addison; Alexander; Baylor; and Dylan. She was preceded in death by parents; daughter; Janis Nelson; sister; Ann Roskos; and brother; John Bulna. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Charleroi.
