Betty J. McCauley, 87, of Rostraver, formerly of Kittanning, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Chester and Rose Richie Yost, she was born in Rostraver Township on Jan. 19, 1928. An avid horse woman, Betty volunteered for 15 years with the Fort Armstrong Championship Rodeo. She enjoyed traveling in her R.V. and fishing. Betty never missed following her granddaughters in performing arts and band concerts. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Cheryl Myers, of Rostraver, and Karen and Eric Winter, of Derry; one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Anne Yost, of Rostraver; one sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Jack Kerr, of Rostraver; and two grandchildren, Rachel and Lauren Thayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. McCauley, in 1986. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300,www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A blessing service will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Monsignor Roger A. Statnick officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
