Betty J Planey, 90 of Gillespie, Fayette City, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Annalisa's Personal Care Home, Jefferson Twp., Perryopolis, Pa. She was born January 23, 1926 in German Twp., Fayette Co., Pa. daughter of the late Jacob Rumbaugh and the late Helen Jobes Rumbaugh. Betty was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Charleroi, Pa. She is survived by her three children; son, Richard Planey and wife Maria of Monessen, son, David Planey and wife Anita of Monessen, daughter JoAnn Marinos and friend Brian Adams of Gillespie, Fayette City; four grandchildren, Richard Planey, Jr. and wife Regina, Beth Smock and husband David, Jim Planey and Shane Marinos, two great-granddaughters, Megan and Lauren Planey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Planey, two brothers Harry and Benjamin Rumbaugh; three sisters, Francis Coates, Mildred Williamson and Geraldine Chapman. Family and Friends will be received Monday, April 25, 2016 from 3 to 7 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
