Mrs. Bessie McDonald Johnson,44,of 1172 Schoonmaker avenue,died Tuesday morning,July 12,1949,at 11 a.m.at the Charleroi-Monessen hospital after a long illness. She has been a resident of Monessen since 1925 and was a Daughter Elk of the Elite Temple No.428. She is survived by her husband,Cleve Johnson,a son-in-law,Richard Bettis and two grandchildren,Ronald Bettis and Peggy Ann Bettis,of Monessen. Friends are being received at the Beverly Draper Funeral Parlor until Thursday morning,July 15,when services will be held at the Union Baptist Church at 11 a.m.with Rev.H.A.S. Cooke,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly Draper funeral director.
