Mrs.Bessie Edwards Turney;85;of 718 Fayette St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Dec.1;1971;at 7:30 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital.  Mrs.Turney was the widow of Thomas Joseph Turney;who died Oct.6;1966.  She is survived by three daughters;Mrs.Dorothy Bell of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Herman (Dolores) Blair of Perryopolis and Mrs.Theodore (Bernice) Gaskell of Monongahela R.D.;one son;David J.Turney of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren;four great-grandchildren;one brother;Porter Edwards of Belle Vernon;and one sister;Mrs.Gordon Lane of Myersdale.  Friends are being received at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home;Perryopolis;from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Friday.  Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday;Dec.4;1971 at 11 a.m.;with Dr.S.Arthur Talman;pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Blair-Lowther funeral directors in charge.
