Mrs.Holbrook was born Feb.24;1903;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late George T.and Hannah Smock Price. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;she was Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents;Mrs.Holbrook was preceded in death by her husband;Roy H.Holbrook;and two brothers;Albert and William Price. Survivors include two sons;George R.and John P.;both of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.William (Ruth) Sterner of Belle Vernon and Betty Holbrook of Traphill;N.C.;one sister;Virginia P.Smith of Charleroi;12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.;where services will be held on Thursday;March 10;at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Home;Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
