Obituary

Mrs.Bess J.Collins,60,of 1522 Wareman Ave.,Brookline,died suddenly at her home on Aug.20,1957,at 11:45 a.m. She was born in Fayette City on April 6,1897,the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Planton Johnson. Her religious affiliation was with the United Presbyterian Church,of Brookline. She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star,of Charleroi. She has made her home in Brookline for the past four years,having moved there from Charleroi. Her survivors include her husband,Fred G.Collins,two sons,Robert J.Collins,of Monessen,and Fred J.Collins,at home,a daughter,Mrs.William (Jane) Kibler,Jr.,of Charleroi,R.D.,a brother,C.N.Johnson,of St.Petersburg,Fla.,a sister,Mrs.C.L.Shoaf,of Belle Vernon,and three grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family during the hours 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home,where services will be held on Friday,Aug.23,at 1:30 p.m. Dr.Stillman Foster will be in charge of the services,with interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock is the funeral director.
