Mrs.Bess J.Collins;60;of 1522 Wareman Ave.;Brookline;died suddenly at her home on Aug.20;1957;at 11:45 a.m. She was born in Fayette City on April 6;1897;the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Planton Johnson. Her religious affiliation was with the United Presbyterian Church;of Brookline. She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star;of Charleroi. She has made her home in Brookline for the past four years;having moved there from Charleroi. Her survivors include her husband;Fred G.Collins;two sons;Robert J.Collins;of Monessen;and Fred J.Collins;at home;a daughter;Mrs.William (Jane) Kibler;Jr.;of Charleroi;R.D.;a brother;C.N.Johnson;of St.Petersburg;Fla.;a sister;Mrs.C.L.Shoaf;of Belle Vernon;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family during the hours 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;where services will be held on Friday;Aug.23;at 1:30 p.m. Dr.Stillman Foster will be in charge of the services;with interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock is the funeral director.
