Bertha T.Phillips;68;of East Liberty;Pittsburgh;died Friday;Sept. 2;1994;following a short illness. She was born Feb.9;1926;in Monessen;a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Wright Kizzle. Mrs.Phillips was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. Survivors include two daughters;Linda A.Phillips and Kathleen L.Johnson;both of Pittsburgh;two granddaughters whom she raised;Kimberly A. and Anse Phillips;a granddaughter;Shari Johnson;two grandsons;Clarence and Darrell Tucker;two sisters;Frankie Kizzle and Beatrice Tipton;both of Pittsburgh;five brothers;Jerome Tidwell;Max;Livingstone and Floyd Kizzle;all of Monessen;and John Kizzle of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Arthur O.Phillips;a daughter; Adele Phillips;a brother;William Lee Tidwell;and a grnadson;Charlers C.Johnson. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Beveraly C.Draper Funeral Home; 608 Sixth St.;Monessen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Wayman A.M.E. Church;Reed Avenue;Monessen. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
