Obituary

Bertha B. Fotta Fleming, 93, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 11:55 p.m., at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. Born Jan. 15, 1917, in Dunlevy, she was the daughter of the late August J. and Lillian Leonard Fotta. A resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Fleming was a member of Char-Belle Free Methodist Church, and was a retired sales clerk from the former Jenny Shop, Monessen. Mrs. Fleming was the last surviving member of her family of 10 children. She is survived by a daughter, Bertha Bobbie Guzzie, of Monessen, a nephew, George Jacobs, and four nieces, Joy Fotta, Genevieve Ray, Jeannine Jacobs and Brenda Zerone. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Vance, and her second husband, William Fleming, six brothers, Hayden, William, Raymond and John W. Jacobs, August Fotta Jr., Andrew Fotta, and three sisters, Genevieve Hays, Irene Drapper and Beatrice Mitchell. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
