Bernhard Horsthemke, 1520 Jones St.,Monessen,died Tuesday, Jan. 13,1987, in Shider Care Home, Perryopolis. He was 95. Mr. Horstheme was born in Rheda Westfalen,Germany, on Aug. 7,1891. He was a resident of Monessen most of his adult life and was a retired foreman of the open hearth department of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monessen. Survivors include his wife,Maria Horsthemeke, a daughter, Eleanore Gluckelberger of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren,Barbara Sternberg of Hinkley, Ohio, Betty Jane Welser of Kent,Ohio, Carl Gluckelberger of Kent, Ohio and David Gluckelberger of LaCrosse, Wis.,and four great-grandchildren, Julie Sternberg,Amy Welser, H. Theodore Welser and Eloise Gluckleberger. Friends will be received at the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc.,Grand Blvd.,and Marion Ave.,Monessen,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Reinold Schlak Jr. officiatiing. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
