Bernard (Little Jazz) Crenshaw;2145 Center Ave.;Pittsburgh;died Monday;April 2;1979;in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 56. Born May 13;1922;in Monessen;he was the son of the late Clinton Crenshaw Sr.and Rosetta Dillard Crenshaw. Mr.Crenshaw was a well-known pianist;performing with the Jerry Betters and Harold Betters orchestras of Pittsburgh and the Mon Valley area. He was a member of the Musicians Association of Pittsburgh. Mr.Crenshaw is survived by three brothers;Leroy Stamper of Detroit;Mich.;Carl Payne and Clinton Crenshaw;Jr.;both of Monessen;a son;Terrel Crenshaw of Washngton;Pa.;a devoted friend;Lottie Jones of Monessen;and a number of nieces;nephews and friends. Friends will be received in the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday in the Fellowship Baptist Church;with the Rev.W.Hubbard;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.taylor;funeral director; is in charge of arrangements.
