Mrs. Barbara Holan,84,of East Gate Manor,Monessen,died Tuesday,March 25,1969,at 3:10 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs. Holan,who was born in Czechoslovakia on Oct. 30,1884,was a member of the Slovak Presbyterian Church of Monessen. Her husband, Andy,died Feb. 4,1968. Surviving are three sons,John of Charleroi,Paul of Monessen,and George of Cleveland,Ohio;three daughters, Mrs. William (Anna) Valko of Canoga Park,Calif.,Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Nogay of Monessen,and Mrs. Steve (Elizabeth) Syabosal of Belle Vernon;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. March 26 at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,Monessen. Service there Friday,March 28,at 1:30 p.m. followed by an additional service at Slovak Presbyterain Church,Monessen. The Rev. S. Arthur Talman will officiate. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Prayers at the funeral home March 27 at 7:30 p.m. Edwin Melenyzer is funeral director.
