Barbara Catherine Kovacic,87,of 400 Fell St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday, April 24,1979 at 11:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hosptial. She was born Sept. 26,1891,in Yugoslavia,to the late Tom and Helen Mahan Radivich. She was preceded in death by her husband,Marko P. Kovacic on Feb. 6,1958,and also a brother, Nick Radivich. Surviving are four sons, John N. of Washington,Pa.,Michael,a retired professor at Colorado State University,now residing in Fort Collins,Col.,Dr. Peter of Milwaukee and Stephen of Oakland, Calif.,three daughters,Mrs. Alfred (Anna) Wootten of Washington,Pa.,Mrs. John (Catherine) Nelson of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Claude (Helen) Jensen of Pittsburgh,Calif. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren,24 great-grandchildren and two nieces. She has been a resident of the Mon Valley for the past five years and prior to that lived in the state of California for the past 20 years. A Catholic,she was a member of the Slovania National Peoples Jednota. At the request of the family,visitation and services will be private with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.
