Obituary

Balint Kovas, known as William Smith,a foreign miner of Pricedale,died Sunday morning,September 11,1910,at the Monessen-Charleroi hospital of a gunshot wound in the head.  His wife who visited the hospital just before his death stated that the man had stepped out of the door to dismiss a gang of drunken men who were fighting.  There were several shots fired,one striking Kovacs.  The dead man was 24 years old.
