After arranging the details of his own funeral ,August Plantade,57,setward of the Franco-Belgo Club, 640 Third street, commited suicide Thrusday afternoon, May 30,1940 by hanging himself in the basement of the club. Despndent over poor health and the misfortune of his native France were given as the reasons for the act. Mr. Plantade had been steward of the local club and treasurer of the Western Pennsylvania Franco-Belgo Clubs since 1932. He was born in France in 1882 and came to the United States a few years later and made Monessen his home for many years. He is survived by a brother in Tunis, Africa. Funeral services will be held at the club Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
