Obituary

A.Edward Dreyer,84,of 1228 Fayette Ave.,Belle Vernon died Friday,April 21,1972 at 1:55 p.m.in the Somerset State Hospital,Somerset,Pa. Mr.Dreyer,a retired meat cutter who operated his own business in Belle Vernon for many years,was born in Fayette City on Aug.13,1887,the son of the late Frederick and Anne E.Winklevoss Dreyer. He was a member of the Belle Vernon United Presbyterian Church,past master of the Gummert Lodge No.252,F&AM of Fayette City,and a member of the Royal Arch Chapter of Monessen,the Knights Templer of Charleroi,Lodge of Perfection of Uniontown and the Scottish Rite and Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh. Survivors include his widow,Edna L.Hough Dreyer and two brothers,Herman C.Dreyer of Los Angeles,Calif.,and Christian W.Dreyer of Fayette City. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,334 Main St.,Fayette City beginning at noon on Sunday,April 23,1972 where Masonic services will be held on Monday,April 24,1972 at 7:30 p.m.with the Rev.H.D.Hough,pastor of the Leechburg United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory,funeral director in charge.
