Obituary

August A.Wasicek,87,who owned and operated Wasicek's Grocery Store in Belle Vernon from 1922 until his retirement in 1945,died in Haven Crest Nursing and Convalescent Home on Country Club Road,Monongahela R.D.at 9:45 a.m.Tuesday,June 12,1967. Mr.Wasicek lived at 521 Henry St.,Belle Vernon. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Rudolph (Emma) Rehula of Charleroi and Mrs.Joseph (Margaret) Yablonski of Clarksville,four sons,Charles of Belle Vernon,Joseph of Willoughby,Ohio,August J.of Belle Vernon and Louis of Charleroi,twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren,a sister,Mrs.Gizella Milford of Chicago and a sister in Czechoslovakia. His wife,Justina,died on Oct.16,1944. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Blessing service there Friday,June 16,at 10 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass in Sts.Cyril and Methodius R.C.Church,Charleroi,at 10:30 a.m. The Rev.Andrew J.Bialobok,pastor,will officiate. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral home visiting hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Raymond D.Dalfonso of Monessen is funeral director.
