Audrey Lillian Mitchner MacDonnell; 99; of Charleroi; died Wednesday; Sept. 18; 2002; at 6:10 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born Oct. 13; 1902; in Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Grace Darling Schneider Mitchner. Mrs. MacDonnell was a lifelong resident of Charleroi and a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church; Charleroi. She was a retired music instructor of piano and organ; teaching both at home and St. Jerome Catholic School in Charleroi. Mrs. MacDonnell also was a member of the Athena Club of Charleroi. She is survived by one daughter; Carole Britt of Belle Vernon. Mrs. MacDonnell was preceded in death by her husband; Harold J. MacDonnell; and one brother; Guy Mitchner. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Services will be held Thursday in the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. with the Rev. Carter Croft; pastor of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church; officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Audrey Lillian MacDonnell to the SPCA or Humane Society.
