Obituary

Arthur M.Van Divner of 434 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Sept.11,1983,at 8:30 p.m.in the Waddington Nursing Home. He was 45. Mr.Van Divner was born May 12,1938,in Belle Vernon,a son of Thelma Headley Van Divner,with whom he made his home,and the late James Van Divner,who died in 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon American Legion. Mr.Van Divner retired on disability in June,1982,as a hooker at the Allenport Plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Corp. Survivors include two daughters,Candace and Julianne,both of Fayette City,one brother,Bill L.Van Divner of Belle Vernon,and one sister,Janice Faye Van Divner of McKeesport. Friends will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday,Sept.14,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Earl Lehman,pastor of the First Baptist Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
