Arthur Lee Minnie;84;of Monessen;died Wednesday;Oct.4;2000;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Dec.13;1915;he was the son of the late Emma Minnie Seaborn. A lifelong resident of Monessen;he was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of Wayman A.M.E. Church and a brother of the Okay Lodge No.697. In addition to his mother;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Elizabeth Rendleman Minnie;his second wife;Ruby Emma Levy Minnie;and a sister;Vivian Rivers. Survivors include two sons;Ronald A.Minnie Sr.and his wife;Janet;of Pittsburgh and Arthur Lee Minnie Jr.and his wife;Carrie;of Monessen;three daughters;Hortense (Teenie) Minnie Maddox of Monessen;Catherine (Nouchy) Minnie Rawlins and her husband;Frank;of Monessen;whith whom he resided;and Phyllis Minnie Harvey and Philip Reed of Rochester;N.Y.;one stepdaughter;Barbara Jones of Wilkinsburg;nine grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren;one nephew;Kenneth Rivers of Los Angeles;Calif.;one niece;Yvonne Duke of Seattle;Wash.and a host of great-nieces;great-nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Wayman A.M.E.Church;Reed Avenue;Monessen;with the Rev.Sylvia King officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
