Arthur Jackson of 129 Krolic St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;March 9;1978 at 9 p.m. at his home. He was born Jan.15;1902 in Montgomery County;Ala.;a son of the late Wesley and Lula Jackson. Mr.Jackson has been a deacon and Sunday School superintendent at the Mt.Hebron Baptist Church of Lyndale in Terrance;Pa. A retired coal miner;he was a member of United Mine Workers Local 1190;Ellsworh and Monessen F.& A.M. Lodge 79. Survivors include his widow;Mattie Zola Jackson;two nieces;Elizabeth Harris of New York;Erma Jackson of Pittsburgh;one great-nephew;Monty Harris of New York;and several other relatives. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Friends will be received in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The body will be taken to the Antioch Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m. where it will lie in state until Monday at 1 p.m.;the time of service. The Rev.Vernon Hawkins will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the church. Beverly C.Draper is the funeral director in charge.
