died Thursday;April 30;1970; at 7 p.m. in
Charieroi-Monessen Hospital.
Born in Twilight Borough; he
had lived in Charleroi seven
years.
Mr. Sphar retired in 1958
from Humble Oil and Refining
Corp.
He was a member of Star
Junction Methodist Church and
was a veteran of World War I.
His wife; Hazel Reeves Sphar;
died in 1960.
Surviving are a son; Arthur
F. of Pittsburgh; two daughters;
Mrs. George (Miriam)
Diehl of New Eagle and Mrs.
George (Adoree) McNabb of Attleboro;
Mass.; three brothers;
Riley of Speers; William of
Charleroi R. D.; Parker of
Plainfield; N. J.; two sisters;
Mrs. Albert (Juanita) Barthelot
of Charleroi; with whom he
made his home; and Mrs. Homer
(Bertha) Morris of Elco;
nine grandchildren.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m
May 2 at Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral
Home; Belle Vernon. Service there Monday;
May 4; at 1:30 p.m. with the
Rev. Frank A. Bodnar; pastor of Charleroi’s
First United Methodist Church; officiating.
Interment; Belle Vernon Cemetery.
Shelby D. Ferguson is the funeral director.
