Arthur B. Carney; 70; of Roscoe; passed away peacefully on Thursday; Jan. 19; 2012; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 30; 1941; in Charleroi; he was the son of the late Beverly Swaney Carney Robbins and Arthur H. Carney. Mr. Carney was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church and American Legion Post No. 801; also in Roscoe. He is survived by a nephew; Thomas Wells and wife; Tracy; of Monessen. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 1008 Furlong Ave.; Roscoe; where a funeral service will be conducted on Monday; Jan. 23; at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ernie DeLuca presiding.
