Mrs. Amanda Phillips,aged 45 years,1410 Schoonmaker avenue,Monessen, died Friday,March 23,1951 at 4:15 p.m. in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital following a short illness.She is survived by her husband,Mack E. Phillips;her mother,Mrs. Susie Nash of Brownsville;a brother,Pvt. Grant Nash,stationed at Camp Breckenridge,Ky. Mrs. Phillips was a past matron of the Star of Bethlehem,Chapter 34,Order of the Eastern Star and past president of the Monessen Choral and Literary Society. Friends are being received at the Draper Funeral Home until Tuesday,March 27 when funeral services will be held at the Union Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. H.A.S. Cooke officiating.
