Leah Arlene Weitz, 80, of Fairhope (Belle Vernon), passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Russell Blaine and Leah Henrietta Crawford Smith, she was born in Belle Vernon on February 24, 1934. Arlene graduated from Monessen High School in 1952, and spent most of her life in the Mon Valley area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband , William E. Weitz on June 27, 1987; a son, William R. Weitz on April 19, 1976 and a son-in-law, David "Butch" Hall on June 2, 1989. Survivors include her daughter, Leah C. Hall and her companion Donald L. Lilley of Luzerne Township; a grandson, David A. Hall and his wife Carol of Grindstone; three great grandchildren, Brandy, Doug, and Courtney; a sister, Inette DeBruhl and her husband David of Prescott Valley, AZ; a nephew, Gary Kramer of South Carolina; two Nieces, Susan McCullough of South Carolina and Linda Najera of Arizona; and a cousin, Joy Groat of Ohio.
