Obituary

Arlene Bondi Chew, 66, of Charleroi, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Oct. 11,1934, in Belle Vernon, a daughter of the late Michael Bondi and Louise Suppa George. She was a member of the Gospel Alliance Church, Charleroi. Survivors include her husband, Robert Chew of Charleroi, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jack and Linda DeSellems of Lock Four, Ronald DeSellems of Charleroi, and David and Carol DeSellems of Donora: four daughters and two sons-in-law, Darla and Jeff Caseway, Debbie Coulson Diane Baker, and Doreen and Bill Purcell, all of Charleroi, two aunts, Justine Hixson of Belle Vernon and Catherine Moravec of Belle Vernon, one sister, Gloria Bondi Joseph of Monessen, 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, James George, one sister, Dolores Roberts: and one brother, Joseph (Buddy) Bondi. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Toomey officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
