Obituary

Archie Bolding,70,of RD 3,(Gallatin) Monongahela,died Saturday,September 20,1969,in Monongahela Memorial Hospital at 4:40 p.m.  He was the son of Alexander Bolding and the late Carrie Hamiton Bolding.  He had lived in the Gallatin-Monongahela area for 40 years.  He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church,Monongahela,and a member of the steward and senior usher boards of that church.  He also belonged to Mon Valley Lodge 208,IBPE of W.Local 6478,United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by his widow,Luverta Bolding; one daughter,Mrs. Pearl Sigur,of New Orleans,Louisianna;a foster daughter, Pearl,at home;his father, Alexander Bolding of New Orleans; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;three sisters, Mrs. Oveda Hamilton of Clairton,Mrs.Priscilla Bell of New Orleans and Mrs. Lillian Guitty of New Orleans;four brothers, Carroll and Charles of New Orleans,Chester of Brooklyn,N.Y. and Noland of Houston, Texas. Friends received at Walter S. Waters Funeral Home, 344 State St.,Clairton,from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday,Sept. 22 and 23.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday,September 24,at 11 a.m. from the Bethel AME Church,Monongahela,the Rev. Robert Dye,pastor of Bethel AME Church, officiating.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
