Obituary

Antonio (Tony) Pineiro of 520 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,July 31,1978 at 4:05 p.m.in the Charleroi Division,Mon Valley Hospital. He was 76. Born Nov.27,1901 in Ponter Verda,Spain,Mr.Pineiro came to the United States in 1920,and has been a Belle Vernon area resident for the last 25 years. He was a retired employee of the No.2 Rod Mill,Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Monessen plant. Mr.Pineiro retired with 44 years service. Mr.Pineiro was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eagles and Croation Club,both of Monessen,and the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Agers. He was also a member of the Mon Valley association of Retired Steelworkers. Mr.Pineiro is survived by his widow,Ida Monti Pineiro,one brother,Benito Pineiro of Lisbon,Portugal,one sister,Felicia Troncoso of Montevideo,Uruguay,three grandchildren,and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Friends will meet at the Lynnwood Lutheran Church for funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m.,with the Pastor Hartzell A.Michael,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
