Antonio (Tony) Pineiro of 520 Bluff St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;July 31;1978 at 4:05 p.m.in the Charleroi Division;Mon Valley Hospital. He was 76. Born Nov.27;1901 in Ponter Verda;Spain;Mr.Pineiro came to the United States in 1920;and has been a Belle Vernon area resident for the last 25 years. He was a retired employee of the No.2 Rod Mill;Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen plant. Mr.Pineiro retired with 44 years service. Mr.Pineiro was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eagles and Croation Club;both of Monessen;and the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Agers. He was also a member of the Mon Valley association of Retired Steelworkers. Mr.Pineiro is survived by his widow;Ida Monti Pineiro;one brother;Benito Pineiro of Lisbon;Portugal;one sister;Felicia Troncoso of Montevideo;Uruguay;three grandchildren;and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Friends will meet at the Lynnwood Lutheran Church for funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m.;with the Pastor Hartzell A.Michael;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
