Anthony Barr of 409 11th St.;Charleroi;died Tuesday;Oct.10;1978;at 12:01 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 89. Mr.Barr was born Jan.17;1889 in Italy. He was retired as a hooker for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mr.Barr was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius R.C.Church;Charleroi;and North N.I.P.A.;Monessen. Survivors include his widow;Virginia Grossi Barr;one daughter;Mrs.Albert (Florence) Altomari of Charleroi;one son;Anthony Barr Jr.of Belle Vernon;and three grandchildren;Albert Altomari;Anthony Barr and Anita Barr. Friends will be received in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m.followed at 10 a.m.by a Mass of Resurrection in Saints Cyril and Methodius R.C.Church;Charleroi. The Rev.Andrew J.Bjalobok;pastor;will be celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
