Mr.Vito was born March 26;1893 in Italy;a son of the late Mr.and Mrs.Pasquale Vito. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America Union and Holy Spirit Catholic Church;Fayette City. Survivors include his widow;Sophie (Sally) David Vito;a son;Anthony D.Vito of Fayette City R.D.1;two daughters;Mrs.John (Joyce) Haynes of Demopolis;Ala.;and Mrs.Thomas (Philomena) Meli of Charleroi and five grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;334 Main St.Fayette City;after 3 p.m.Tuesday. A Prayer service will be held at the funeral;home Thursday;Oct.14;at 9:30 a.m.;followed at 10 a.m.by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church;Fayette City. The Rev.Thomas Rinn will be celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
