Anthony J. Wiseman of 4013 Greenfidge Road,Castle Shannon,Pittsburgh,died Friday Nov. 4,1983 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Clair Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Wiseman was born in Monessen on August 20,1906,and was a resident of Monessen most of his life,having moved to Pittsburgh in 1972. He was a retired metalurgist at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,a charter member of the Washington Township Lions Club and a member of the Monessen Lions Club. He was a life-long member of St. Leonard Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. He was preceded in death by his first wife,Catherine O'Toole Wiseman in November 1967. Survivors include his wife Irene Horan Wiseman;two step-children,Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Varsel of Houston,Texas,and Richard Muller of San Francisco,Calif.;two sisters,Mrs. Ruth Fieghtner of Monessen and Mrs Betty Hackley of Laurel,Md.;and a brother,William Wiseman of Monessen. Friends will be received at the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home,Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.,Monessen on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Leonard Catholic Church of Monessen. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A. Billick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
